LESLIE MARCUS

Born and raised in New York, Leslie maintains her cutting edge: continually pushing her artwork to greater heights with passion and sensitivity. 

After attending The Academy of Art College, in SF, Marcus immersed herself in the fashion world of Los Angeles, creating hand painted, exclusive textile designs for apparel & home furnishings.

Leslie’s unique textile designs appear throughout her contemporary fine art paintings of vibrant female figures; women draped in embellished decorative designs. 

In January 2012, Leslie’s artwork was installed in the permanent collection in the Healing Arts Program at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. 

In 2020, The Ojai Art Commission, nominated Leslie to restore and paint the utility box located on North Ventura Avenue, Ojai: a tribute to Ojai’s Topa Topa mountains and wild poppies, titled “Gratitude”.
